What does your warranty cover?
All labour is warranted for one year from completion. If something fails because of how we did the work, we come back and fix it at no charge. Materials carry whatever warranty the manufacturer gives them, which is separate and is written into your contract.
What a workmanship warranty is for
Installation and finish. A seam that cracks because the tape was not bedded, a patch that shows because the texture was not matched, trim opening at a joint, flooring that lifts because the subfloor was not prepared, paint failing because a surface was not primed.
Those are our responsibility and they are what the year is for.
What it is not for
Damage from a new event. A pipe that bursts above a ceiling we repaired last year is a new loss, not a warranty claim.
Ordinary movement and settlement in a house, which will always produce some hairline cracking, particularly at the first winter after a renovation.
Wear, damage caused after we left, or work done by someone else on top of ours.
Material warranties are separate
Shingles, flooring, cabinets, paint and mechanical equipment all carry manufacturer terms with their own lengths and conditions, and some require registration or specific installation to stay valid.
The products used on your job are named in the contract so you can hold the paperwork rather than trying to identify them later.
How to use it
Call, describe what you are seeing and send a photo. We would rather look at something small than have you live with it and decide we were not worth calling back.
