Before you let any contractor into your home or building, you deserve proof they are legitimate. Here is ours: bonded, insured, established in 2015, and happy to put every credential in writing.
What Protects You On Every Job
Bonded
APAS carries a surety bond, which protects you if contracted work is not completed as agreed. Bonding details are available with any written estimate.
General Liability Insurance
Business liability coverage protects your property while our crews are on site. A current certificate of insurance is available on request before work begins.
Workers' Compensation
Every crew member is covered by workers' compensation insurance, so an on-site injury is never your financial responsibility as the property owner.
One-Year Workmanship Warranty
All labor is warranted for one year from project completion. If an issue arises from our workmanship in that period, we return and address it at no charge. Material warranties vary by manufacturer and are specified in your contract.
Licensing
APAS performs work in Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia in accordance with each jurisdiction’s licensing and permit requirements. License and registration details for your jurisdiction are available upon request and with any written estimate.

How to Verify Any Contractor, Including Us
We would rather you check every contractor thoroughly, because we pass those checks. Here is what to ask before hiring anyone.
Ask for the certificate of insurance
Any legitimate contractor will provide a current COI naming their general liability and workers’ compensation carriers. We provide ours on request.
Confirm licensing for your jurisdiction
Maryland, DC, and Virginia each maintain public lookup tools for contractor licenses and registrations. Ask us for our license details and check them yourself.
Get the scope and warranty in writing
Our estimates spell out the scope of work, price, payment schedule, and warranty before you sign anything. If a contractor will not put it in writing, walk away.
Check real reviews and past work
Read our Google reviews and case studies, and ask for references relevant to your project type. We are happy to provide them.
