How much does LVP flooring installation cost in Fairfax, VA?

One local figure and three national ones

• Homeyou's Fairfax page shows a typical project at $2,388 to $3,440 and a full span of $808 to $6,062, with vinyl or linoleum at about $2.50 to $4 per square foot. It covers flooring in general, not LVP alone.
• HomeGuide (2026) puts LVP at $4 to $16 per square foot installed, made up of $2 to $10 for materials and $2 to $6 for labor.
• Fixr gives $3 to $16 per square foot overall and says most people pay $5 to $12.
• HomeAdvisor (2025) has LVP at $3 to $10 per square foot.

Homeyou's number blends every type of floor. The other three are LVP only, and national.

Why two quotes for the same room don't match

The plank is what people compare, and HomeGuide's material range alone runs from $2 to $10 a square foot. Thin click-lock plank and rigid core plank with an SPC or WPC core are both sold as LVP. Rigid core rides over small dips in an older slab or plywood subfloor. Thin plank shows them.

Most of the rest of the gap is under the floor. We take moisture readings on a concrete slab before plank goes down, because the plank is waterproof but the adhesive and underlayment can still fail over a damp slab. A subfloor that's out of flat needs levelling compound, and loose plywood gets screwed down. A quote that skips this looks cheaper on paper, and it's how floors end up peaking at the seams a season later.

Then there are the things you can count. Taking out and hauling away the old floor, a transition at every doorway where the plank meets another surface, baseboard or quarter round, and stairs, which get fitted one tread at a time.

We don't publish an LVP price per square foot. A rate only means something once it names the product, the removal and the prep. Send room sizes and the floor you want, or book a measure, and the visit is confirmed by text with the date, the time and the address.
